A NEW VIDEO FROM TED FELLOW IYEOKA
Iyeoka performs Simply Falling from her album SAY YES.
Iyeoka Okoawo, a Nigerian American poet, a recording artist, and a 2010 TED Global Fellow
will present an 18-minute unplugged performance accompanied by her music group the Rock by Funk TriBe.
TEDxBU event begins Feb 26th from 1 to 5 p.m. in the College of General Studies Jacob Sleeper Auditorium
Twisted Logic was adopted as the theme of this year’s TEDxBU.
According to the all student organizers, “The goal is to make people stop and think about how they perceive the world, and to break away from the accepted and what is conventional.”
Iyeoka’s new album SAY YES will be included in the “Fellows section” of the Bookstore at this year’s TED 2011 Conference in Longbeach, CA beginning next week. Her latest single off Say Yes, “This Time Around”, was announced last week as a recipient of an Independent Music Award nomination for the R&B song category.
